Diet Pepsi - Columbus is #1 diet pepsi town in America

I was watching the TV this morning and saw the diet Pepsi commercial.

At the end of the commercial there was a added message saying Thank you for making Columbus #1 diet Pepsi town in America.

I am not sure that exactly means being Numero uno in America in the diet Pepsi chart but I am assuming that it mean only one thing.

Columbus has bought more diet Pepsi than any other city in U.S

At first I thought that’s terrible.. We (not me) drink so much pop in here. No  wonder lots of people of Columbus carry little too much of a bellowed bodies on their bones.

My next thought was.. but maybe there is a hope!!! Maybe they drink so much “diet” Pepsi because they care about themselves and try to lose that extra fat. The only problem is someone had to tell them that diet Pepsi or any other diet pop is as useful in losing weight as last winter snow at the this year’s summer.

I am really confused. I hope people of Columbus drink so much “diet” stuff because they really care how they look and how they feel. Once they find out that drinking it is not going to help they may be really disappointed.

Nevertheless, I am optimistic and I hope that this is a case. They are looking for the answer but they are looking in wrong place. Maybe one day they will find this site and become members so I could guide them on a healthy lifestyle and proper drink choice.

I can’t tell anybody what to do. That’s their choice but if they wanted to listen I will be glad to talk.

Greg what should I eat?

This is the most common question I get EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Well,,, I am sorry to inform you but I can’t really tell you. I know you may be dissapointed now but quite frankly I am not allowed to tell you what you should eat. By law of the state of OHIO neither personal trainers nor anybody else who is not certified dietitian or nutritionist is allowed to prescribe nutrition programs of any kind.

I wouldn’t be YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER if I wasn’t able to help you. I have a great solution that will make you understand how the nurtition works with someone who wants to burn fat and look great.

We had some facility issues (remodeling) and holiday (July 4th) in the past week.

Flex Fitness Studios was closed for two days and Red White and Boom was held on Thursday (usual time for Power UP class)

Due to all these events we could not train our clients during their scheduled times. We have decided to give them a make-up session in a form of boot camp.

Next thing you know a new idea of a Sunday boot camp was born.

We are going to organize a summer-long fitness program that will be held outdoor.

Once a week (on Sunday) we will be meeting at Antrim Park for an hour of hard core workout.

We hope that people of Columbus will join us for this summer program.

Why Do People Make Weight Loss So Difficult?

I can not understand one thing.

We live in the United States which is one of the richest countries in the world and yet there are millions of people who starve themselves or are severely malnourished.And this is all for a sake of loosing weight. It really hurts me to watch people who can’t do anything because they are too big, too weak, too medicated, and too shy (intimidated) to live a good life.

I see it everyday in my gym. When I ask them how many times a day do they eat often times I hear that they eat once a day because they have no time or they forgot to eat or they did not feel hungry.

I don’t understand WHY did they make such a terrible decision to live their lives like that? It’s hard for me to understand how they feel because I have never been out of shape but I know one thing for sure. It feels GOOD to be in shape. Trust me. Life is good.

I tell my clients that I would rather be poor and healthy than rich and in poor health because if i you have your health you can accomplish anything but if you are sick non of the world’s money will give you a joy.

The best thing is that it really doesn’t take that much to change your life. It takes only one second to make a decision in your brain.

You need to allow yourself to make that decision and if your mind is ready your body will follow.

Think about it for a second and decide where do you want to be few years from now.

I hope you will make a right decision.

Melanie’s first fitness competition (figure fitness)

Melanie competed in Mike Francois Figure Fitness and Bodybuilding Show in Olentangy High School in Powell.

It was her very first show so she really didn’t know what to expect but despite lack of experience she did great. All the hard work at the gym and months of preparation (read: eating really strict diet) she showed great physique and confidence .  Check out a slide show here

She was called out with the first group which meant she had caught judges attention.  She looked good on the stage and  was able to  go  head to head  with  more experienced  competitors. I was really proud of her.

It  is very hard on the body (and mind) to compete  in shows  but at the same time it builds you stronger mentally and physically.

I am sure  Mel  will be  back  at the  show next  year ready to get home a trophy.

Fitness Improvements with Tabata Protocol?

So what is this new TABATA thing?

TABATA protocol is a new way to train for great anaerobic and aerobic improvements in your body.

It consists of 20 seconds high intensity exercises followed by only 10 second long break periods.

It really kicks your you know what in less than 10 minutes.

If you do 8 sets of 20 sec / 10 sec  protocol it only takes 4 minutes to complete.

We usually use 2 sets of it so we  pretty much make our client curse our names in 8 minutes.

It is quick effective way of working out. However, it’s very very intense. We would not recommend it to a beginers.

It can easily raise your Heart Rate up to 180-190 bmp which could be harmful for someone who is out of shape.

You could use all kind of exercises using Tabata protocol. The best thing about it is you don’t have to use complicated gym equipment. You could simply use your own body weight as a resistance (eg, push-ups, squats, lunges, pull-ups) and get great benefits of this type of workout.

We are going to implement this great method of training in our “GET UP AND TRAIN” program on our website.
